Dealer told me that I did not need to change the hydraulic
oil until 150 hrs, just my hydraulic filter. So, changed that and if any you try it...purchase a gallon of kubota udt
unless your real fast in swapping over to the new one!
On my oil filtr here is a note: cut a plastic gargage bag
and lay it under where the filter will come out and also place a 5 gallon bucket there to catch the waste.
My dealer tells me by not changing the hydraulic fluid my warranty is still ok. Saved me a bunch of dollars...this time! Have had my 3130F-F since April

If the operator's manual says to change the hyd. oil; it is wise to do so. It is specified for a reason which is primarily to ensure break-in particals are removed from the system and the sump oil pickup screen is inspected and clear if your machine is equipped with one. The dealer is not who has the final say so with respect to warranty issues but the manufacturer typically will follow the dealer's recommendation. The Deere dealer was saying the same thing about my 4410 hyd. fluid but I did the 50 hr. break-in service by the book, exactly. Yes, the oil looked just as clean as the new oil I replaced it with but I have the peace of mind knowing I have done all I can to ensure the proper servicing and longevity of the machine. Chances are that you will be just fine but there is always that one in a million chance called "Murphy's Law". ....

My dealer told me the complete opposite. That for my warranty to stay intact, that I must perform scheduled maintenance per the manual. I used all Kubota fluid and filters on the 50 hr service and it cost me $266.00 and 2 hrs of my time. Small price compared to a 17,000.00 machine or worse yet a Kubota certified logging time at 65.00 per hour for non warranty covered work. I follow the manual, save the receipts, and keep a log of what was performed and date performed. ....

Absolutely agree. If you read your warranty, you will find that the scheduled maintenance needs to be performed per the manual to keep your warranty in full force. Changing the filters without changing the break-in fluids and checking and cleaning the screen is not a good idea. Follow your manual's maintenace schedule to the letter. ....
